Prayer Partners

Rev. Dr. Larry Potts and Rev. Peter Jamieson are looking for prayer partners.  Prayer partners would pray with the pasts before worship on Sunday morning.  Prayer is the key to moving Pitman UMC forward.  Prayer is necessary seven days a week.  If you would like to be a prayer partner, please call or email the pastors.

Schedules Needed

We are excited about many opportunities for outreach and Christian growth and want to best utilize our facility. Please complete the Building Use Form if your group will be meeting at the church. The Building Use Form is also available in the church office and in the mailboxes. Please complete and leave the form in the office or email it to Nancy Walters.

Wanted

*The nursery is looking for volunteers to help during the 11:00 AM service. I am also looking for Little Tikes Play Equipment that the nursery children can use. Please contact Andrea Kier in the nursery.

PALS (Praying, Acting, Losing, Sharing)

PALS is a weight loss support group which meets once a week for about 45 minutes. We use prayer, scripture, accountability, and sharing information to help each other lose weight.  Males and females are welcome. You do not have to be a member of our church to join. There will be a one time $10 registration fee. If you have any questions or would like additional information send an e-mail to PALS@Pitmanumc.org.  PALS meets on Monday nights @ 6:30 PM in the Scout Room. 

KnitWits

Working with the Missions committee, we will be knitting/crocheting preemie hats, baby hats and chemo hats of all sizes for local hospitals. Join us the second Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM on the second floor of the Sunday School Wing. Lessons and patterns are available. Patterns are also available on the Welcome Desk. Donations of soft yarn appreciated. Contact Jane Pape.

Driver(s) Needed

Can you volunteer to drive wheelchair-bound person to and from the 11:00 Sunday service? A car is needed. Contact Jan Kandle.

UMW Prepares Notecards:

Beautiful notecards are available from Jennifer Andrade, Pearl Brown or any Circle Leader. Each package sells for $5 and includes6 cards and envelopes. Choose either the Resurrection Window or PUMC Then & Now.

On-Line Sunday School

PUMC has gone high tech with Sunday School for kids in grades K - 6.  Check out this site for a fun interactive Christian educational tool.  There is a special area for Sunday School Teachers as well.

Altar Flowers

Would you like to place flowers on the altar in memory or in honor of someone?  We have come up with a plan to continue this ministry.  Instead of two vases, we will be taking orders for one vase per week.   The cost will be $20 and you can designate which florist you prefer.  The flower chart is in the church office so please stop in or call the church office (589 - 8313) to schedule your flower Sunday.
