John and Kendra Enright have been missionaries in Africa for more than thirty years;  most of that time in the Congo.  Four years ago, war drove them out of the Congo and they relocated to central Zambia where they purchased eighty acres of land.  In what John describes as a miracle, that once barren land is now the site of the Kafakumba Training Center.  Buildings were constructed using all local materials.  Dormitories now house 350 people.  By necessity, during construction, a lumber mill and woodworking shop were established.  The lumber is used for building and from making furniture and doors.  Additionally, twenty-five acres of banana trees have been planted.  Working on these projects, local villagers have learned new skills.  It is hoped that in the future, both of these projects will help to support the Kafakumba School.  Pastors from all over Africa come to the Kafakumba School for training.  The Center is also used for Youth Camps, conferences, seminars, family camp meetings, and women's retreats; all centered on Jesus Christ and His love.

John's parents, Ken and Lorraine Enright, who were aviation missionaries in Africa for many years, are also actively involved in the Kafakumba Training Center projects.  Kendra, a nurse, takes care of the medical needs of the Center and teaches healthcare and disease prevention.  The latest endeavor at the Kafakumba Training Center is the chapel-auditorium.  When completed, this building will accommodate 1000 people for worship and a host of other activities.  Additionally, local village taverns are being converted into churches that will impact all of Central Africa.

The Enrights are grateful for your prayers, encouragement and support.  They invite you to rejoice with them that the Word of God is being preached all over Central Africa.  You can contact them at John and Kendra Enright, United Methodist Church, PO Box 70839, Ndola Zambia, Africa.
