Help Wanted...
You Can Help with the Enrights’ Mission:
The pastor of St. Mark’s UMC, Nate
Steury (Lorraine Enright’s son-in-law), travels to Zambia every summer to teach
at the Kafakumba Pastors School. Together with Chick and Margaret Morris, their
church, and St Marks’ UMC (Indialantic, Fla), we can help fill a 40-foot
container with items that will be shipped to Zambia in October. Let’s fill Chick
and Margaret’s car during their visit to Pitman this summer. Place items
in 2 gallon plastic bags and place in the boxes provided in the Narthex.
See below for items being sought. Additional items are: bras (new or
used), computers, cell phones that use SIM cards, soccer balls, flip-flops,
yarn, knitting needles, crochet hooks, coloring books, antiseptic soap,
antibiotic cream or ointment, Ibuprofin, band-aids, graduation robes, fabric
trims or fringe for pastor’s stoles, reusable cloth grocery bags and new or
used: blankets, sheets, pillowcases, towels, washcloths.

Sunday School Teachers / Assistants
Our Sunday School program is in need of people who
would be willing to teach or assist our children. We ask each of you to pray
about
availing yourself to God's service concerning this matter. As the Lord calls,
and you obey, please contact Carol Fox, our Christian Ed. Com. chairperson.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration.
Driver(s) Needed
To drive wheelchair-bound and other elderly church members to and from Sunday service? A car is needed. Contact Jan & Pete Kandle.
Banners
Singing “His Banner Over Me is Love” on November 1, 1987, the first group of banners was dedicated. Over the years additional banners were added by the same group of talented Christian women who quietly served their Lord with their needles and artistic gifts. Unfortunately, the fire took some of the banners and damaged others. We are looking for some women and men who will follow in the footsteps of Gwen Black, Wilma Deisinger, Grace McClain, Grace Smith, and others who began this ministry. After church on August 30th, there will be a meeting in the library for anyone interested.
Volunteers Wanted!
Do you have an extra hour or two and want to get outside? Want to volunteer on your own schedule? Help keep PUMC looking great. Stop by anytime to weed our mulch beds.

The cookie ministry is looking for people who are willing to help deliver cookies to people who have visited our church. This job does not involve heavy lifting or hard work, but the rewards are substantial. Please see Maureen Kier if interested.
