Seniors
The Elderberries is the senior ministry at PUMC for folks that have reached 50+. Each month, the group goes on a trip and has lunch in a restaurant or remains at the church for a program of interest and dines in. This ministry has been on-going since 2004. Other churches are encouraged to be part of this fellowship.
The Early Bird 4:30 Bible Study meets in Potters Hand and remains for dinner and fellowship at 6 PM. These Faith Lessons from Focus on the Family is a DVD-discussion series taking us to the Holy Land sites to learn the meaning of God's plan.
This past year we concentrated on Moses, Israelites and the 10 Commandments and how God worked in their lives. Presently, the class is learning the background and the purpose of the Tabernacle, and why God chose to have a Holy of Holies and other attributes for worship and how the Israelites acquired the items needed while out in the desert.
A more recent focus of the Senior Ministry has been to serve in the Spiritual Life of Pitman Manor on the first Sunday's as Communion Stewards.
