United Methodist Men
United Methodist Men at Pitman United Methodist Church is a group of men that come together to study God’s Word and fellowship through the power of the Holy Spirit. Our time of fellowship is the 2nd Saturday of each month (September-June) from 7:30-9:00 am. In addition, each year we sponsor a Men’s Retreat that focuses on a variety of spiritual topics. Also, United Methodist Men is an outreach to the local community sponsoring “Breakfast Buffets” several times during the year to raise money for different organizations. Many of our men are involved in a “Helping Hands Ministry” that reaches out to members of our congregation and others for basic yard work and repairs.
For more information about the Men's Fellowship group or any of our activities, send an email to: UMM@PitmanUMC.org.
Breakfast Buffets
We're continuing to offer a monthly slate of Breakfast Buffets. Each buffet highlights and supports one of the ministries or our church. The buffets are not only about great food and worthy causes, but they also provide a fantastic opportunity for fellowship and for meeting other men in our church (there's nothing like talking about the Eagles while scrubbing pots!). We're always open for help in the kitchen or on the serving line. Contact Chris Valianti if you're interested in helping.
Men's Fellowship Meetings
What better way to kick off a Saturday morning than to open the Word and enjoy some donuts and coffee with friends who share your concerns, joys, and struggles? Our goal is to face practical "where the rubber meets the road" issues that are encountered by Christian men living in today's world, and to get a Biblical perspective on how we should live out our lives as Christians through these issues.
Yes- we do start early- 7:30 AM. But we also wind up somewhere around 8:30-9:00, leaving you plenty of time to get home and pick up on your normal Saturday schedule. We meet in the Potter's Hand room on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
Men's Praise Team
All men who would like to make a joyful noise, singing or playing an instrument, are invited to join this group. The Men's Praise Team occasionally leads the music during our Sunday morning worship services. Contact Larry Bakely or Chris Valianti for more details.
